An opportunity has arisen the Global IT division (UK based) of a major financial services organisation to pro-actively manage IT related contracts. The successful candidate will work as part of the IT contracts group that assumes cradle to grave responsibility for all IT contracts (software, hardware, support services, consultancy, outsourcing, fixed price development). The successful candidate will be part of a team that ensures that business strategy & standards are adhered to & looks to optimise contract spend & resource utilisation. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic & critical area of our business where there will be the opportunity to extend your IT analysis and problem solving skills. Ideally you will be an IT professional with 3 years plus experience in a development or data-centre environment, have excellent communication, analytical and interpretative skills, have an awareness of the IT development life-cycle, hardware and software tools & technology and their use in the IT environment. Although not essential it would be an advantage if you had an understanding of FSA compliance guidelines, vendor management and contractual frameworks.
